This conference has as its main objective analyze the use of geotechnologies -such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing and digital models- for the monitoring and management of water resources in the Amazon in the face of the effects of climate change. It will focus on to understand the dynamics of water, both in quantity and quality, in the face of extreme events such as floods and droughts. Through applied examples, they will be exposed the potentialities and the practical challenges of implementing these tools in the complex reality of the Amazon Basin.
