1ST INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON DIGITAL ECONOMY

    Purpose and scope: 

    The purpose of the 1st International Symposium on Digital Economy is to analyze the transformational impact of digital technologies on economic models, promoting a space for critical discussion on integration, innovation, competitiveness and regulation. This event will bring together academics, entrepreneurs, government leaders and entrepreneurs to examine how artificial intelligence, the blockchain, the big data and other emerging technologies are redefining different industries, financial markets and work dynamics. Through keynote lectures, panels and presentations of practical cases, key topics such as business digitalization, cryptocurrencies, the platform economy, cybersecurity and public policies will be addressed.


    Thematic lines:

    1. Business Digital Transformation: ERP and E-Commerce.
    Integration of economic, financial, logistical, productive and commercial systems for the optimization of processes, economic growth and the well-being of the population. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and e-commerce in the digital evolution of organizations; comparative analyses. Electronic commerce in the transformation of production and distribution models of goods and services. Successful implementations of ERP and e-commerce platforms in various sectors. Technological solutions adapted to the specific needs of MSMEs. Current trends in omni-channel strategies and automation with artificial intelligence. Challenges in cybersecurity and technological scalability. Interoperability between business systems, government and digital sales channels.

    2. Platform Economy: Models, Impacts and Challenges in the Digital Age".
    Ecosystems of digital platforms as an engine of economic transformation. Connection of supply and demand through digital platforms where consumers interact (B2B, B2C or P2P) without traditional intermediaries. Business models based on network effects, where the potential for scalability and data are key to monetize services. Cases of quantifiable economic impact and with concrete data on their contribution to the digital GDP: job creation, optimization of operations and creation of innovative markets such as digital payments, digital wallets, digital health, among others.

    3. Disruptive Technologies: The Foundations of the New Digital Economy.
    Emerging technologies in redefining the foundations of the digital economy. Transformative applications such as decentralized payment systems based on blockchain, AI algorithms for mass customization in e-commerce, IoT for intelligent supply chains, and cloud platforms that democratize access to business tools.

    4. Regulatory and public policy challenges for the digital economy: balancing innovation and protection.
    Critical challenges faced by governments and international organizations to regulate the digital economy without slowing down its innovation. Digital platform governance, cross-border business taxation, personal data protection, and legal loopholes in emerging areas such as crypto-assets, e-commerce, and internet environments for commerce. Successful or controversial public policy cases. Taxation and competition in digitized markets. Challenges on labor regulation, fair competition and sustainability of models for digital economy with a special focus on the realities of Latin America, where regulation advances at uneven rates in the face of rapid digital growth.
