1ST FORUM EDUCATION AND DIGITAL CULTURE: INNOVATION FOR SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION

          Purpose and scope:

          The Forum is positioned as a strategic space to promote educational and cultural transformation through digital technologies, bringing together experts, authorities and key actors in order to analyze how pedagogical innovation – from artificial intelligence to extended reality – can build more inclusive and sustainable societies. The event will promote dialogue on public policies, successful experiences and disruptive models that reduce digital gaps, foster critical competencies and guarantee equitable access to knowledge, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and national and international digital agendas. As a collaboration platform, it will facilitate the creation of multisectoral alliances to develop transformative projects that integrate digital tools at all educational levels, prioritizing vulnerable communities, ensuring regulatory frameworks that guarantee quality, equity and responsible use of technology in the Cuban and global educational ecosystem.

          1. Universal access to educational technology.
          Strategies to reduce the digital divide. Public policies and partnerships to ensure access to digital devices, content, resources, and connectivity.

          2. Digital content design.
          Creating accessible, innovative educational materials for people with disabilities. Tools and standards.

          3. Teacher training in digital skills.
          Training programs for teachers in the use of digital and inclusive technologies. Development of pedagogical skills for diverse digital environments

          4. Educational technological innovation.
          Use of artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and other disruptive technologies in training processes and to support inclusion. Adaptive and personalized platforms for different learning needs.

          5. Digital education in rural and remote contexts.
          Technological solutions to bring education to hard-to-reach areas. Successful experiences and lessons learned in the implementation of educational projects in rural areas.

          6. Gender inclusion in digital education.
          Strategies to encourage the participation of girls and women in technical careers. Programs and policies to eliminate gender bias in educational technology.


          7. Evaluating and measuring the impact of digital education.
          Metrics and tools for assessing the effectiveness of digital transformation in education. Case studies and good practices in the implementation of training and capacity building programs, prioritizing inclusive approaches and lifelong learning.

          8. International collaboration and South-South cooperation.
          Exchange of experiences and knowledge between developing countries. International alliances to finance and support Digital Transformation projects in educational institutions.

          9. Ethics and privacy in digital education.
          Data protection and privacy of students and teachers in digital environments. Ethical considerations in the use of emerging or disruptive technologies in education.


          10. Cybersecurity in digital educational environments.
          Protection of personal and academic data of students and teachers. Strategies to prevent cyberattacks, fraud, and information theft on educational platforms. Cybersecurity awareness and training for students, teachers, and administrators. Implementation of security protocols in educational tools and platforms. Ethical and legal challenges in protecting privacy in digital educational environments.
